115-Hour Mat Work Intensive Training

Corrine offers a 115-hour intensive training that will provide you with the tools to design mat classes for people of all ages and abilities. You will receive thorough instruction from a highly trained teacher who has established a devoted following of people who — through Corrine’s guidance — were able to overcome injury, release discomfort, and realize their full potential as they rebuilt their bodies for better function.

Corrine is the Northeast / East Coast affiliate of Body Harmonics, an internationally recognized teacher training facility based in Toronto, Canada. The program is comprehensive and meets all of the PMA’s (Pilates Method Alliance) international standard guidelines. The benefits of Body Harmonics Teacher Training include:

Training is administered in a private tutorial setting at Corrine’s studio in Everittstown of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. During this 115-hour program, you will learn the complete mat work repertoire. Our unique training program emphasizes core stabilization systems, movement mechanics, and versatile class design principles.

Program Requirements

  • Pre-requisite: Anatomy in Motion (6 classroom hours)

  • Module 1: Foundations (18 classroom hours)

  • Module 2: Classics and Innovations (18 classroom hours)

  • Module 3: Core Integrity (12 classroom hours)

  • Module 4: Practical Application (12 classroom hours)

  • 35 hours of practice teaching are highly recommended

  • Approximately 24 hours of home study/review

  • Online written test

  • In-class practical evaluation

Additional Information

The program content progresses from one module to the next. As a result, modules must be completed in sequential order to make your learning experience complete and meaningful. However, since the course is modular, you can design your training schedule to match your personal one. We recommend completing all modules within 8 to 12 months.
